What the price leaves out

Each tier sets, among its limits, a number of forms and a number of submissions a month: Bronze allows 25 forms and 1,000 submissions, Silver 50 and 2,500, and Gold 100 and 10,000. In a survey program every completed response is a submission, and each survey is a form, so those two are where sizing starts, and the rest of a tier's limits on Jotform's pricing page deserve a read before choosing. On the build side, Jotform offers 8,000+ free survey templates, an AI form generator that drafts a form from a prompt, and conditional logic that shows or hides questions.

Say a retailer runs a post-purchase survey that peaks at 3,000 completes in its busiest month, around the holidays. On submissions alone, that program belongs on Gold, since Silver's 2,500 falls short in that month and Gold's 10,000 leaves room for other surveys beside it. Completes can come from a link sent by email, a form embedded on the order page or a tablet in kiosk mode at the till, and each one counts toward the month. Because the allowance is monthly, the busiest month is the one to size against.

Enterprise is the plan with single sign-on, predefined user roles and full white-labeling of the login page, domain and brand kit, and its customers can add a dedicated SOC 2 Type II environment as an upgrade. Submissions can be set to delete automatically or be deleted permanently, which a program collecting customers' contact details will want written into its retention plan.

Gold shows how far the two billing bases sit apart. For the retail program above, Gold billed yearly comes to $1,188 over twelve months, against $1,548 at the monthly rate, $360 more over the year. A comparison with another vendor holds only when both prices are read on the same basis.
